Getting to Bucharest, Romania



Bucharest, the vibrant capital of Romania, boasts the country’s largest and one of Europe’s most extensive public transport networks, making travel to and from Henri Coandă International Airport simple and efficient.
BUS
For a convenient and budget-friendly option, the 100 Express bus line operates between the airport and the heart of the city 24 hours a day. During the day, buses depart every 15 minutes, while at night they run every 30 minutes. Stops are located right in front of the Arrivals and Departures terminals. View 100 Express bus line here.
A 90-minute metropolitan ticket costs just 3 lei, with payment available via STB travel cards, contactless credit cards, SMS (text “C” for 90 minutes or “AB” for 24 hours to 7458), metropolitan cards, or Tourist Travel Cards.
TAXI
Taxis are readily available at dedicated stands outside the Arrivals terminal and on the ground floor of the arrivals area. Fares to the city center generally range from 50 to 80 lei (about 10–17 euros), with metered rates between 2.29 and 3.50 lei per kilometer.
TRAIN
The airport train provides a quick connection to Bucharest North Railway Station, with a journey time of approximately 20 minutes. Trains run every 40 minutes, around the clock, offering a fast and reliable way to reach the city’s main rail hub.
RIDE-HAILING SERVICES
Enjoy the convenience to book your ride via ride-hailing apps like Uber and Bolt. You will be able to select the option to pay through the app payment methods that you have applied for or select payment via cash.
